How TriStar 8.5 SL Insecticide Works

TriStar 8.5 SL insecticide contains acetamiprid as the active ingredient. This odorless, organic compound targets leaf-sucking insects and plant-damaging larvae such as the fruit fly. It works by interrupting the insect's brain signals and causing excitement within 30 minutes. Afterward, the ingredient leads to paralysis in the target pest and finally kills it. It starts working upon ingestion and may affect certain pests upon contact. TriStar 8.5 SL targets all life stages of the insect, from the eggs and the larvae to the adults themselves.

Where to Use TriStar 8.5 Insecticide

Use TriStar 8.5 SL insecticide both indoors and outdoors where flying and plant-sucking insects thrive. It's useful for fighting aphid infestations in greenhouses and killing mealy bugs on outdoor flowering plants. Though it's useful for knocking out pests on nonbearing fruit trees, never apply it to bearing fruit and nut trees at home or in commercial orchards. Some other places for use include:

Target Pests

TriStar 8.5 SL insecticide controls many different insect pests indoors and outdoors. With one application, aphids and crane fly larvae don't stand a chance against the active ingredient. It kills psyllids and sawflies and prevents weevils from harming greenhouse plants. Other target pests include:

It only takes one application for TriStar 8.5 SL insecticide to control numerous pest insects for up to six weeks. It works in greenhouses and plant nurseries as well as on commercial and residential plant beds and ornamental trees. TriStar 8.5 SL combines well in the tank when it's used with miticides and other pesticides for complete pest control.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application.
