How InVict Roach Bait Gel Works

Most cockroach baits, including InVict Gold, does not kill German roaches on contact. Invict slowly affect the roaches and let them infect other members after ingesting the bait. It's called the transfer effect. For example, a roach consumes the bait and goes back to the nest. It then infects other members through contact or by sharing food. InVict contains the active ingredient imidacloprid, which affects the central nervous system and causes paralysis and death. It works slowly upon contact or ingestion and can help to eliminate roach colonies within a few months.

Where to Use InVict Gold Roach Bait

Use InVict Gold cockroach bait indoors in areas where roaches travel and nest. Apply gel spots along the baseboards and under appliances, including beneath the cabinets and around plumbing pipes. Add the gel in other likely places such as electrical boxes, utility closets, crawlspaces and attics. It's safe to use in homes and businesses and can even be used in restaurants and other sensitive food-handling areas.

Apply it outdoors around cracks and crevices, including the holes where cable wires and pipes enter the building. It's also a good idea to apply roach bait gel around windows and doors to target the insects as they enter and leave. Some common target areas include:

  • Kennels
  • Hospitals
  • Schools
  • Sewers
  • Government buildings

Target Pests

The active ingredient imidacloprid is used in many different insecticides and targets everything from ants and termites to wasps and ornamental pests. Although InVict contains this ingredient, it's labeled for use on German cockroaches. Its formula is specialized to lure bait-averse roaches that would normally bypass the bait and search for other food sources.
